Water Treatment Engineer/Plumber – Liverpool

Job Overview

Our established client is a well-regarded water treatment company, who deliver a diverse range of water treatment, legionella, and water hygiene services to a high-profile portfolio of clients throughout the UK. They are actively recruiting an experienced and qualified Water Treatment Engineer/Plumber based in and around the Liverpool area. The successful candidate will be a qualified remedial plumber and will have experience in carrying out routine water treatment duties on various site types in line with the ACOP L8 regulations. Applications will be considered from Birkenhead, Ellesmere Port, St Helens, Warrington and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer within the water treatment industry.
• Hands‑on experience carrying out remedial plumbing to a mixed portfolio of sites.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing would be advantageous.
• Fully conversant with Health & Safety procedures/legislation and the water treatment industry.
• Ideally comes from a strong chemical, technical and educational background.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on hot and cold‑water systems, boilers, cooling towers, shower heads and flushing.
• Descaling and disinfection and tank cleans and dosing.
• Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems and interpreting the results.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as and when required.
• Completing worksheets for work carried out appropriately.
• Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
• Collating and providing accurate reports.
• Visiting sites as per client’s requirements.

The successful post‑holder will be versatile, flexible, have a good work ethic and be able to carry out the work effectively and within timelines, and must be flexible with regards to travelling.
