Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst / Consultant

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Salary / Benefits: 24,000 – 38,000 + Company Vehicle + Benefits

Highly respected asbestos consultancy is currently recruiting for a professional asbestos consultant to join their expanding Yorkshire office. You will be joining a long‑standing team of asbestos sites, undertaking high‑end and technical surveying and analytical duties to a varied client base. The client is able to offer training into further P certs, so is happy to consider a driven surveyor who is looking to develop into a split role.

Consideration will be given to applicants based in and around: Leeds, Wakefield, Castleford, Bradford, Brighouse, Huddersfield, Pontefract, Barnsley, Doncaster, Mexborough, Rotherham, Sheffield, Worksop and Chesterfield.

Experience

• BOHS P402 (Minimum)
• BOHS P403/4 (Desirable)
• Expert knowledge of HSG: 264 and 248 guidelines.
• Experience working as an asbestos surveyor and / or analyst, ideally within a consultancy setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication experience.

Role

• Delivering the full range of asbestos surveys in accordance with HSE guidelines, to a mixed portfolio of clients across the Yorkshire region.
• Identifying and sampling suspected ACMs.
• Using handheld tablet and associated software to record accurate site findings.
• Producing detailed survey reports and following up with clients to provide technical consultancy services / advice.
• Carrying out reinspection audits of survey reports.
• Building and maintaining client relationships.

Additional Responsibilities if P403/4 is held

• Air Monitoring and airborne fibre counting.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in line with HSG: 248.
• Undertaking 4‑stage clearances.
• Supervising removal works and signing off satisfactory removal works.
