Asbestos Operations Manager – Doncaster

Our client is a reputable and industry-leading Asbestos Consultancy providing a wide range of asbestos and legionella services to clients across the country. They are now looking for a knowledgeable, experienced and hardworking Asbestos Operations Manager to join their team based in and around the Doncaster area. The company is looking for an individual who has worked extensively within the asbestos industry, with experience over‑seeing and managing site staff and asbestos contracts. The ideal candidate will be commercially switched on and able to grow the company. Applications from Leeds, Sheffield, Huddersfield and candidates with good access to south and west Yorkshire and the surrounding areas will be taken into consideration.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong educational, technical, management, operational, asbestos, removal, commercial and sales background.
• Good working knowledge of asbestos management and legislation.
• Experience working in an operations management role within the asbestos industry.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good IT skills, including proficiency using MS Office.
• Knowledge of or interest in P401/P402/P403/P404/P405 or S301 CCP qualifications.

Key Duties of the Role

• Oversee and support the asbestos team/site staff.
• Manage and delegate work as necessary.
• Involve in quality control, method statements and risk assessments as required.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with legislation and company requirements.
• Train staff and carry out appraisals as required.
• Carry out audits and inspections of work.
• Control the financial side of the business.
• Enable the smooth running of the business.
• Attend meetings when required and deal with any issues that may arise.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with the company’s large portfolio of clients.
• Ensure all contracts are completed to client specifications.
