We are seeking a high calibre, self‑driven Asbestos Commercial/Operations Director to join our fast‑growing asbestos consultancy in and around the London area. This role involves managing staff, maintaining client relationships, improving business systems and procedures, and furthering the company's growth. Applications from Basildon, Southend‑On‑Sea, Ashford, Dartford, and the surrounding areas will be considered.
We are looking for an individual holding the S301/CCP or the P402 qualifications, with significant, valid and varied experience in this role and within the asbestos industry. A degree would be beneficial. The candidate must come from a strong commercial, management, technical, supervisory, operational and consultancy background.
Key attributes include:
- Excellent communication, client‑facing, organizational, people‑management and leadership skills
- Full knowledge of the water treatment industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Qualifications:
- Holder of S301/CCP or P402 qualifications
- Significant, valid and varied experience in asbestos commercial/operations roles
- Commercial, management, technical, supervisory, operational and consultancy background
- Degree (beneficial)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage staff – Asbestos Surveyors, Asbestos Site Analysts and Laboratory Analysts
- Liaise with clients and build/maintain strong relationships
- Develop and implement business growth strategies
- Improve company business systems and procedures
- Prepare tenders and bids
- Implement health & safety policies and procedures
- Train and develop staff
- Organise labour to improve team efficiency
- Achieve financial targets and goals
- Monitor and use key performance indicators
- Resolve issues promptly and effectively
