Our client is a well-established and expanding water treatment / hygiene company that provides a wide range of water treatment and legionella services to long-standing clients. Due to recent contract wins they are now looking to recruit an experienced Water Treatment Engineer / Plumber to cover a mixed portfolio of contracts in and around the London area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful water company that can offer a varied role and continuing career development. Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong water treatment background.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and hands-on experience working within a plumbing role.
- Experience working within a water treatment engineer role within the water industry is essential.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft office package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring client’s air and water systems to ensure compliance with current legislation.
- On-site testing of cooling towers, steam boilers and closed heating/chilled systems.
- Undertake cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems.
- Cleaning and disinfection of water tanks, cooling systems and descaling calorifiers.
- Assist with cleaning and flushing of closed heating/chilled systems.
- Temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysis of water systems.
- Producing accurate and comprehensive service reports.
- Carrying out remedial plumbing works when needed.
- Completing and maintaining logbooks.
- Maintaining a strong working relationship with our large portfolio of clients.
