An opportunity has arisen within a water company known for their expertise in delivering legionella, water hygiene and water treatment advice and services to a diverse client base. They now have a vacancy for an experienced, responsible, and committed Legionella Risk Assessor based in or around the Chelmsford area. The successful candidate will be a qualified legionella risk assessor with extensive experience undertaking risk assessments on various site types in line with ACOP L8 guidelines. Applications from Basildon, Romford, London, and the surrounding areas will be considered.
Experience & Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a City and Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment or equivalent WMS qualification.
- Must have previous experience working as a legionella risk assessor within the water hygiene/water treatment industry.
- Must have previous hands-on experience delivering water hygiene duties to a varied site base.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Packages.
Responsibilities within the Role
- Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments across a varied site base.
- Compiling and creating schematic drawings with details, as well as producing final documents/reports for the clients.
- Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through to quotations, and carrying out such works based on the risk assessments.
- Producing reports and attending meetings to discuss findings of reports.
- Involvement with the company’s Legionella management systems.
- Building and maintaining a good working rapport with clients/customers and staff.
- Addressing problems as and when required appropriately and effectively.
- Managing workload independently and ensuring work is completed within timescale.
- Travelling to sites as required.
