Level of Experience: Trainee Occupational Hygienist / Health and Safety Consultant through to Lead Occupational Hygienist / Health and Safety Consultant.

Profile: Our client is a well‑established name within the occupational hygiene / Health and Safety industry and provides high quality services to a mixed range of clients. They are now looking to take on a hardworking and motivated Occupational Hygienist / Health and Safety Consultant based in and around the Birmingham area. The ideal candidate will hold the NEBOSH certificate and will have experience carrying out occupational hygiene related projects such as air monitoring, COSHH assessments and noise, fume, dust surveys.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience working in the occupational hygiene / health and safety industry.
  • General Health & Safety (NEBOSH) Qualification.
  • Good working knowledge of the relevant health and safety legislations.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • BIOH or IOA qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office.

The Role:

  • Undertaking a wide range of occupational hygiene related projects such as workplace assessments – air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise, fumes, dust and hand‑arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination and testing and indoor air quality.
  • Liaising with the company’s large client base on a regular basis.
  • Managing the projects/contracts and clients effectively.
  • Carrying out emission testing.
  • Undertaking site assessments.
  • Building and maintaining professional working relationships with clients.
  • Ensuring compliance to MCERTS standards.
