Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst – York

Our client is a diverse and multi‑faced asbestos company, who provides a broad range of asbestos and environmental services to clients throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK. They are recruiting a focused and motivated Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst based in the York area. The successful candidate will hold the P402/3/4 asbestos certificates and will be experienced in carrying out asbestos surveys and air monitoring duties on various site types.

Applications will be considered from Tadcaster, Boroughbridge, Harrogate, Easingwold and surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• Attained the P402/3/4 asbestos qualification or equivalent RSPH qualification; consideration may also be given to asbestos surveyors who are keen to progress within the industry.
• Significant experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor or surveyor/analyst within the asbestos industry.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
• Strong client‑facing and organisational skills.
• Fully versed with Health & Safety procedures with regard to asbestos.
• Also interested in candidates with p401/p402/p403/p404/p404 or s301 CCP certifications.

Role Will Encompass

• Carrying out asbestos management, refurbishment/demolition surveys on various buildings – commercial, housing and other properties.
• Carrying out asbestos smoke, background, leak, reassurance, re‑occupation, visual, personal air testing, and four‑stage clearances.
• Collating and writing asbestos reports as required.
• Overseeing contractors on site, ensuring compliance with asbestos Health and Safety procedures.
• Liaising with the company’s portfolio of clients on a regular basis, building and maintaining a good working rapport.
