Job Title: Water Hygiene / Treatment Operations Manager
Location: North East of England
Salary/Benefits: Β£35k – Β£50k + Training & Benefits

We are recruiting on behalf of an industry-leaving Water Hygiene / Treatment specialist. Due to continued company growth, our client is seeking a professional and experienced Operations Manager who will hit the ground running. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of compliance services, ranging from legionella risk assessments to equipment servicing and monitoring duties. Applicants must hold broad industry technical knowledge, including: ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines. The ideal candidate will be able to utilise their existing experience to support teams and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. This company holds a national presence and can consider candidates from a wide radius, but ideally you will be based in the North East of England. Our client is offering attractive salaries, in addition to usual package items (e.g. company vehicle, penison scheme and annual leave allowance).

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Proven success working as an Operations Manager within a Water Hygiene / Treatment outfit
  • It would be advantageous to hold industry-related training courses / tickets (i.e. NVQ Level 2 Plumbing, City & Guilds (WMSoc) in Legionella Risk Assessing)
  • Excellent technical knowledge, including: HSG 274, ACOP L8 guidelines in addition to Cooling Tower, Closed System and Steam Boiler experience
  • Must be confident leading a team of engineers and office-based staff
  • Proficient in using IT software
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong client-facing experience and success

The Role:

  • Managing daily operations within a Water Hygiene / Treatment company
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing general support and technical guidance
  • Monitoring overall company performance
  • Highlighting any areas of required training within teams
  • Conducting auditing on completed works to ensure compliance
  • Attending meetings with existing and prospective clients, to discuss their requirements and sell company services
  • Troubleshooting issues on site
  • Assisting in the production of quotations and tenders
  • Handling disciplinary and one-to-one progression meetings
  • Training staff and providing technical support where needed
  • Maintaining and fostering strong relationships with clients
  • Supporting the administrative team with scheduling appointments and efficient work allocation
  • Partaking in the recruitment process, including interviewing and on-boarding new candidates
  • Ensuring works are completed within industry safety guidelines
  • Completing regular project / company documentation
