A privately-owned Asbestos Consultancy is recruiting for an Asbestos Surveyor to join their experienced team. They have a cluster of domestic, local authority and commercial contracts across the Midlands region. You will primarily be conducting management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys, and performing some auditing and quality assurance duties when required. We are seeking someone with excellent technical knowledge, who is articulate and able to confidently communicate advice to clients. Locations of work include: Dudley, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Birmingham, Marston Green, Solihull, Coventry, Rugby, Royal Leamington Spa, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Cannock, Lichfield, Rugeley, Stafford, Telford, Derby, Nottingham, Burton upon Trent, Swadlincote, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicester, Loughborough, Northampton, Kettering.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Strong experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Consultant
- Must hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent
- It would be advantageous to hold the BOHS P405
- Good working knowledge of HSG 264 and UKAS guidelines
- Strong communication skills
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT competencies
The Role:
- Conducting detailed management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys
- Re-inspection surveys
- Collecting ACM samples from site
- Delivering samples to the laboratory for analysis
- Performing auditing on surveyors, to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Completing competency checks on teams, highlighting any areas of training
- Producing detailed technical survey reports and schematic drawings
- Supporting and training colleagues
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients
