Our client is a privately owned and profitable flexible packaging company. They are now looking to recruit a Production Operative to join their team.
- Selecting Mill Reels from stock.
- Setting up and operating slitting machines at maximum speed.
- Weighing, labelling, and wrapping small reels.
- Palletising and wrapping reels according to specification.
- Performing basic machine maintenance.
- Maintaining a clean machine and surrounding area.
- Transporting pallets of finished goods to designated locations.
- Accurately recording weights of Mill Reels, small reels, and waste.
- Complying with Health & Safety and Hygiene policies (including personal hygiene).
- Performing other duties as reasonably requested by the Shift Supervisor.
The Chosen Candidate will:
- Be physically fit, the role is physically demanding, requiring an energetic pace of production.
- Machine Experience (Preferred but Not Essential): Intensive training is provided.
- High Standards of Cleanliness: Essential for avoiding contamination of food wrap products.
- Caution and Care: Necessary when handling sharp cutter blades and operating machines.
- Commitment and Hard Work: Rewarded through the salary structure.
- Team Player: Integration into small teams (3-4 people) is important.
- Common Sense, Reliability, and Ability to Work Hard with Care: Highly valued attributes.
