Job Description:

Our client is part of a leading manufacturing group of high quality and innovative flexographic printed products.

They are currently recruiting for a Pre- Press Operator who will also provide printing cover for holidays and sickness. Longer term the company are expanding with investment in new presses so the role will eventually move into a full time printing position.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing digital files for print production, optimising layouts, adjusting colour profiles and resolving technical issues to ensure high-quality printed materials.
• To collaborate with Designers and Printers to facilities a seamless transaction from digital design to the final print product.
• To assist with flexo press operation during periods of sickness or holiday cover, ensuring that jobs are produced to the highest quality level and that the quality procedures are followed.
• Responsibility for cleanliness and general maintenance of equipment used in the process.
• To relay information through the specification sheet on how jobs are produced and exactly what settings are required to repeat the process.
• You will be working with the Production Manager to continually improve quality, processes, and production efficiencies.

Skills/Experience:

• A good understanding of colour and colour mixes.
• Able to understand and follow clear work instructions.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
• Flexible approach and able to use own initiative when required.
• Ability to effectively manage your own workload.
• Effective time management skills are essential.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict delivery deadlines.
