Our client is a well-established and highly respected manufacturer and supplier of corrugated transit packaging solutions, serving a diverse range of industrial and commercial sectors across the UK. Specialising in the design, manufacture, stockholding, and distribution of corrugated packaging products, supporting customers with both standard and bespoke packaging requirements.
They are currently looking for a New Business Sales Representative focussing on developing new accounts within the local area. You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within a local territory. The role will be predominantly field based focusing on prospecting and securing new customers, while also spending time in the office completing administrative tasks, reporting and internal coordination.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify, prospect and develop new business opportunities within the local territory
- Conduct face-to-face meetings with potential customers to introduce products & services
- Build strong relationships with local businesses and decision makers
- Provide regular written reports detailing sales activity, meetings and pipeline development
- Work towards agreed activity and performance targets set on appointment
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and opportunities
- Previous sales experience within the packaging industry
- Strong knowledge of corrugated packaging, cardboard boxes and packaging consumables
- Familiarity with common packaging products including corrugated cardboard, adhesive tapes, stretch film, strapping and related packaging materials
- Proven experience developing sales within a local regional territory and strong knowledge of the surrounding commercial market
- Strong communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a field-based sales role independently
