Our client is a professional trade only sign manufacturer in the East Midlands, specialising in internal and external signs, with in house facility to manage project from start to finish. They are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Assembly Worker with Signage Experience to join their production team. This hands-on role involves assembling signage products from start to finish, including LED wiring, sticking, gluing, drilling, assembling, and packing finished items for dispatch. This position is ideal for someone with practical signage or display experience who enjoys varied work and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly of signage products and components
  • LED wiring and basic electrical connections for illuminated signs
  • Sticking, gluing, and bonding of materials such as acrylic, aluminium, Dibond, and vinyl
  • Drilling and basic hand-tool operation
  • Following drawings, job sheets, and assembly instructions
  • Carrying out visual quality checks to ensure a high standard of finish
  • Packing finished signage carefully for transport and dispatch
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work area
  • Adhering to all health & safety procedures
  • Working collaboratively with the wider production team to meet deadlines

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a signage, display, or similar assembly environment
  • Experience with LED wiring (essential)
  • Confident using hand tools and basic power tools
  • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and work from drawings or job sheets
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience working with illuminated or built-up signage
  • Knowledge of signage materials and fixing methods
  • Electrical or assembly-related qualifications
  • Packing and dispatch experience
