Our Client is a well invested, profitable and growing business with the traditional values of a family run company with international career development opportunities. In their UK label manufacturing facilities, they manufacture industrial & retail processing, weighing and labelling solutions from food to mechanical automation, from small craft producers to catering to major food groups. Now looking for a dynamic and driven Area Sales / Business Development Manager to join the team and support growth across Scotland and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across Scotland and Ireland to achieve sales targets and company objectives.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation through to contract negotiation and closure.
- Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product development, and customer service to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for growth.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and reports to stakeholders at all levels.
- Represent the Company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain up-to-date records within the CRM system.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven track record in business development or sales within the technology, retail, or food industries, preferably with experience in weighing, slicing, or related equipment.
- Strong understanding of the Scottish and Irish markets and their commercial landscapes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region.
