We are currently recruiting for a Site-Based Maintenance Engineer to join an established manufacturing operation within the packaging sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to join a busy production environment, supporting the reliability, performance and continuous improvement of specialist industrial machinery.
Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of automated manufacturing equipment, ensuring production operates safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of industrial production equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and electromechanical faults.
- Support equipment reliability, continuous improvement and preventative maintenance programmes.
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering colleagues to minimise downtime.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety and engineering compliance.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications and improvement projects where required.
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a background in a manufacturing, packaging, processing or other automated industrial environment. You will ideally have:
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
- Experience maintaining automated machinery and production systems.
- A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and problem solving.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
- Relevant electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience within high-volume manufacturing, packaging or other process-driven industries would be advantageous.
