PRODUCTION OPERATOR / FINISHER – PRINT AND MAIL
WEST MIDLANDS
£Open DOE + 24 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays and your Birthday Off + Pension + Death in Service + Health Cash Plan + Overtime Flat Rate during the week and Time ½ at Weekends
Our client is a well-established direct mail and print solutions company based in the West Midlands. Following significant investment in plant and technology and strong company growth they are looking for a Production Operator to work within their Finishing Department to operate Guillotines, Duplo Booklet Makers, MBO Folders etc.
Main Duties:
Handling of all incoming work types.
Operation of print / finishing / enclosing and all associated equipment.
Completing daily checks log for equipment i.e. printers, booklet finishers etc.
Manual handling including the lifting / carrying of boxes and pushing trolleys.
Supervision of third-party contractors, i.e. Royal Mail, Whistl, including observation duties when required.
Work quickly, highlighting anything that appears a risk or incorrect.
Behaving professionally within a highly secure environment.
Always following site specific security protocols.
Attend and comply with all training as required.
Undertake to comply with the Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and its associated policies.
To perform any other duties as and when required from time to time.
May be asked to work in other areas of the business as and when required.
Ensuring your working area is kept tidy and ownership is taken for a tidy shopfloor
Adhere to Health and Safety policies.
Following SOPs and WIs in line with processes.
To perform quality checks of all work processed against the expectations agreed with each client.Person Specification:
Strong knowledge of printing, print finishing and enclosing processes and technologies.
Effective communication skills at all levels both electronic and interpersonal.
Flexible approach to work and adaptable to change.
Proactive, with the ability to apply logic.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Ability to understand and follow instructions and deliver to deadlines.
Attention to detail with the ability to deliver quality output.
