(PK8948) MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS MANAGER / DIRECTOR DESIGNATE LOCATION: WEST MIDLANDS SALARY: £60-75K, however there can be more for an exceptional Candidate We\’re searching for a dynamic Operations Leader to take ownership of two fast-paced manufacturing sites specialising in printed labels and flexible packaging. This is a hands-on, strategic role for someone ready to drive operational performance today while shaping the growth of tomorrow. The Role Reporting to the Managing Director, you\’ll lead all aspects of manufacturing operations across both sites – production, planning, warehousing, logistics, maintenance, and quality. You\’ll manage a team of 6 functional leads and around 50 manufacturing staff, fostering a high-performance culture built on accountability, efficiency, and collaboration.Key Focus Areas Ensure on-time delivery with the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency Drive productivity improvements, waste reduction, and cost control Lead, coach, and develop the operations team for current and future growth Support strategic plans, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing initiatives Oversee new product introductions, process improvements, and CAPEX projects Maintain compliance with industry standards (BRCGS, ISO, etc.)Candidate Profile Proven leadership experience in labels, flexible packaging, or print manufacturing Strong people management and process improvement track record Skilled in modern manufacturing techniques and quality systems Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership abilities Desirable: multi-site experience, ERP/MRP knowledge, and lean/continuous improvement expertiseWhat\’s on Offer A pivotal leadership role in a growing, ambitious business Clear progression pathway towards Director level Competitive salary and benefits package Real scope to make an operational and strategic impact
