ELECTRO MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Up to £40K + 22 Days Annual Leave + 8 Bank Holidays + Overtime (Paid time ½ )
Hours: 12 Hour Days (Continental) Panama Style – 6:00am to 6:00pm (Days) / 6:00pm to 6:00am (Nights)
Our client is a plastic packaging manufacturer, specifically focusing on food and medical packaging. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Electro Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias.
This demanding and extremely varied role will require the ability to install, repair and service many different types of machinery on site. Preferred candidate will be a qualified industrial Electrician with several years relevant experience, perhaps gained within the plastics moulding manufacturing sector, with a broad knowledge working with automatic machines and factory systems, have good mechanical engineering skills being able to help overhaul and maintain various plant and machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and service all machinery; including mechanical and electrical aspects. Including AC/DC drives and motors, PLC s Profibus and device net control systems etc
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of equipment and machinery electrically, pneumatically and mechanically
- Troubleshoot faults with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a wide variety of situations
- Troubleshoot faults with control gear and PLC systems
- Carry out PPM of machines and plant including extruders moulders, bottle finishing, testing and packing machinery
- Carrying out other property / facilities / maintenance duties as required
- Monitoring, setting and maintenance of the heating, process water and lighting systems
- General building maintenance (changing light bulbs, emergency light testing, basic plumbing etc.)
- Perform routine checks such as fire alarm tests and PAT testing
- Input records to the department work order recording database
