Our client is a UK-based manufacturer specialising in the design and production of bespoke Point-of-Sale (POS) display stands for a wide range of retail clients. With a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and service, they are proud to design and manufacture all products in-house from their site in Derbyshire.
They are looking for a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in using CAD (ideally Impact but any CAD experience is desirable) and passionate about turning client briefs into innovative, functional and visually engaging display solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Design bespoke POS display stands from concept through to production using Impact CAD.
- Interpret client briefs and collaborate closely with sales, design and production teams to develop effective display solutions.
- Produce detailed CAD drawings, prototypes, and 3D visuals as needed.
- Prepare technical drawings and specifications for manufacture.
- Contribute to design reviews and offer creative solutions to technical challenges.
- Ensure that all designs meet cost, quality, and lead-time requirements.
- Support the transition of projects from design into production, liaising with the workshop and fabrication teams.
- Proven experience in a similar CAD Designer role within the POS, display, packaging, or shopfitting sectors.
- Proficient in CAD (essential).
- Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes relevant to POS and display design.
- Excellent spatial awareness and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
