This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing food manufacturer, primarily based at their Sittingbourne production facility, while also providing technical leadership and support across additional manufacturing sites throughout the UK. This is a high-profile leadership role where you'll work closely with the senior leadership team to drive technical standards, develop teams and ensure the business remains at the forefront of food safety, compliance and quality.
You'll take responsibility for standards at the Sittingbourne site while working across the wider UK operation, supporting site technical teams, maintaining consistency and driving continuous improvement across the group as a Senior Technical Manager Your Role As A Senior Technical Manager Will Include: Lead the Technical and Quality functions at the Sittingbourne manufacturing site Provide technical leadership and support to additional manufacturing sites across the UK Drive Food Safety, Quality Standards, Product Authenticity and continuous improvement Maintain and develop robust HACCP systems across manufacturing operations Ensure the legality, safety, quality and integrity of all products manufactured Champion and embed a strong Food Safety and Quality Culture Maintain certification against key industry standards including BRCGS, BMPA and retailer requirements Lead customer, third-party and regulatory audits Ensure consistent technical and quality standards across multiple UK sites Take ownership of food safety incidents, product recalls and withdrawals when required Develop, coach and support Technical, Quality and Hygiene teams Work closely with senior leadership to continuously improve technical performance As A Senior Technical Manager You Will Have: Significant Technical Management experience within FMCG / Food Manufacturing Proven experience leading BRCGS and customer audits Level 4 HACCP qualification - essential Strong knowledge of food safety legislation, quality systems and compliance Experience managing food safety incidents, recalls and crisis situations Strong leadership and team development experience Ability and flexibility to travel to other UK manufacturing sites when required Keywords: Senior Technical Manager, Head of Technical, Technical Manager, Group Technical Manager, Food Safety Manager, Quality Manager, HACCP Level 4, BRCGS, BRC, Food Manufacturing, FMCG, Food Production, Technical, Quality, Compliance, Sittingbourne, Kent, Maidstone, Medway, Canterbury, Faversham,
