Responsibilities
As Video Editor, reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, you will be responsible for editing, revisioning and optimising our short-form original science content that features in-article and on our YouTube and social channels. You will create regular videos and news to run across all channels – from planet earth to future technology and space science.
- You will create videos for Live Science about all things science, planet earth, animals, archaeology, space, health and more
- You will help build our video and social video offering from the ground-up.
- You will be at the cutting edge of reliable, informative and trustworthy science journalism, working in a talented and passionate team
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
- Experience working on short-form science content and social media reversions in multiple aspect ratios.
- An understanding of different social media video platforms\’ content and audience.
- Experience creating graphics packages is advantageous.
- Experience using the Google Suite.
- Knowledge of science is necessary.

The expected range for this role is Β£26,000 – Β£35,000.
This is a remote-based role in the United Kingdom, with hybrid options if you\’re near the Bath office.
