Future\’s mobile app products are a core source of revenue and projected growth. This role is a key component of a significant investment, focused on rolling out new apps for our broad range of brands.

As Tech Lead in Future\’s Apps Team, you\’ll work closely with the wider Technology & Engineering department. Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, your goal will be to ensure the delivery of a scalable, well-structured, efficient multi-brand app platform integrated with various internal and external services.

The job involves working on both greenfield projects, utilizing the latest libraries and best practices, and maintaining and improving legacy systems. You will be responsible for scoping new system architectures, leading software development, refactoring existing code, revising legacy architectures, and collaborating with other teams to build new services and products.

Experience that will give you an edge

  • Proven success building React Native apps (iOS & Android) with strong TypeScript, Swift, and Kotlin/Java skills.
  • Experience with app theming and functionality using technologies like Tamagui, with a focus on UX and accessibility.
  • Knowledge of deployment processes (App Store, TestFlight, Play Store, Expo), CI/CD, DevOps, and AWS.
  • Technical leadership and people management skills, including running peer-reviewed teams with Git/GitFlow and mentoring best practices.
  • Experience integrating APIs, databases (SQL, NoSQL, Graph, Vector), and working with event-driven architectures and asynchronous operations (queues, topics).
  • Understanding of modern web development alongside mobile, with emphasis on accessibility and performance.
  • Practical experience with AI tools like Cursor, including strategies to manage and validate AI outputs.
