Job Description

The home of great ideas for more than 100 years, Ideal Home is your one-stop-shop for all things home. We're here to make the best home design accessible to everyone, and our unique formula of home decorating ideas and inspiration plus practical advice and solutions is on hand to help you enjoy a happier, healthier, better designed home.

In addition to the rewarding experience of being part of the Ideal Home team, you'll also have the invaluable opportunity to work closely with and report directly to the Content Director.

What you'll be doing

You'll be managing Ideal Home’s social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook and Flipboard) — from forward-planning the content calendar to seamless scheduling and posting.

You'll devise strategic and innovative ways to grow followers, boost engagement, and drive referral traffic through calendar planning, pitch-perfect execution, and close collaboration with the editorial team.

You'll lead on content creation: shoot and edit lo-fi, iPhone-shot videos and imagery, proactively identifying opportunities as they arise, and reacting quickly to capture and share content at short notice and work closely with Future Studios on larger content projects, and brief tastemaker partners and team members on independent content creation where needed.

You'll craft engaging, on-brand social copy — from scratch or adapted from articles — that turns headlines into scroll-stopping, platform-optimised captions.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

  • A passion for social media, with a deep understanding of platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok and Flipboard
  • An eye for what works on social — from trending topics to the latest platform features and creative formats
  • Exceptional written communication skills and an instinct for crafting compelling, platform-appropriate messaging
  • Strong in-app video editing experience (CapCut etc)
  • Photoshop experience and familiarity with Canva

What's in it for you

The expected range for this role is £35,000- £38,000

Please also note that this a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

This is a Hybrid role from our London Office, working three days from the office, two from home

… Plus more great perks, which include;

  • Uncapped leave, because we trust you to manage your workload and time
  • When we hit our targets, enjoy a share of our profits with a bonus
  • Refer a friend and get rewarded when they join Future
  • Wellbeing support with access to our Colleague Assistant Programmes
  • Opportunity to purchase shares in Future, with our Share Incentive Plan

Internal job family level E5
