TechRadar exists for one simple, singular purpose: to help our readers buy, enjoy, and enhance the tech they love. We are one of the biggest tech sites in the world, and we are on the lookout for someone to join our team and help enhance our world-class fitness and wearables coverage. We are passionate about and committed to the idea that you can recommend the best products and experiences to people without being boring and dry, that you can write for a wide audience and still make them smile and feel good about technology.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Senior Fitness & Wearables Editor, your role as staff writer will be to write daily articles about fitness and fitness-related tech. You will write about the exercises or fitness trends that TechRadar's audience might want to try if they are looking to get in (or stay in) shape. At TechRadar, we put fitness gadgets through the wringer ourselves, so our readers know they can trust our advice. We are looking for someone who is willing to test out fitness technology themselves and write about it – if you are comfortable recording yourself doing it for our social channels, even better. Many of the articles you will write will be first-person articles about exercises, routines and fitness equipment you have tried and can recommend (or not!), but they can also include features based around advice from other fitness experts or news stories about the latest wearable technology. We will expect you to deliver several stories a day of varying lengths.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
- Experience writing for online publications
- Experience with SEO principles
- Knowledge of and interest in fitness, exercise and health
- An interest in technology (wearable tech experience)
- Ability to explain complex subjects in a clear and easily understood fashion
- Willingness to test and write about fitness gadgets away from the desk – on camera for social channels a bonus
What’s in it for you
The expected range for this role is £25,000 - £35,000. This is a Hybrid role from our Bath or London Office, working three days from the office, two from home. Plus more great perks, which include:
- Uncapped leave, because we trust you to manage your workload and time
- When we hit our targets, enjoy a share of our profits with a bonus
- Refer a friend and get rewarded when they join
- Wellbeing support with access to our Colleague Assistant Programmes
- Opportunity to purchase shares in Future, with our Share Incentive Plan
