MoneyWeek is one of the most respected and most trusted investment and personal finance websites in the UK. Aimed at private investors, we cover all areas of investing from shares, bonds, funds and property to commodities, precious metals, currencies and emerging markets. We also help our audiences with their wider personal finances, from how to get the best mortgage and bank account to choosing the right broker, and much more.
What you’ll be doing
We are looking for a writer to write news and features around investing and personal finance. Reporting to the Digital Editor, you will help us create content, come up with ideas, update our existing content to keep it “evergreen”, monitor the topics that are driving traffic or trending, optimise new and existing content and set up our daily newsletter.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable researching and writing about personal finance, pensions, investments and property, and explaining these topics in plain English.
This presents an excellent opportunity for a writer in the early stages of their career and looking to make the next step in their career as a financial journalist. In the longer run there\’s a great deal of scope to shape the role according to your skills, and to develop your own profile as a writer.

- Interest and understanding of the investment and personal finance sector.
- You will work with the audience team at Future to ensure we are always answering the public\’s main questions around personal finance.
- A familiarity with SEO best practices
- Understand and embrace social media and other evolving digital platforms.
