The role is a key senior finance position, reporting into the Group Commercial Finance Director with a strong dotted line to the Chief Revenue Officer, Executive VP of eCommerce and their senior leadership teams. This role requires a strategic growth mindset, using data and insights to identify risks and opportunities for the division. The Finance Director is the lead commercial business partner to the Global Ad Sales teams, with responsibility for ad sales revenue and related gross contribution for the division. This role leads on all forecasting and budgeting areas of responsibility for this area.

The Finance Director is a senior leader driving and supporting continuing process improvement and best practice within both the Commercial Finance team and the wider finance function, responsible for developing and managing a team of commercial finance business partners, fostering an inclusive and growth mindset.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve:

  • Effective communication at a C-suite level, distilling important financial and operational data into insightful and succinct messaging.
  • Evidence of developing insights to drive strategic decision-making at an executive level.
  • A proactive problem-solving attitude.
  • Commercial industry experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across Finance, business leaders and operational teams, including the ability to quickly absorb and apply new information.
  • Successful management and delivery of team performance, including effective management of conflict if required.
  • Proactive approach to work, with an enquiring mind with strong analysis, numeracy skills and the willingness to take leadership of complex/difficult tasks.
  • Able to strike the right balance between challenge and support across the organisation at all levels.
  • Effective prioritisation of workloads and initiatives which deliver results in a timely and relevant manner.
  • Able to service business leaders in North America (Central Eastern Time GMT -5-7hrs) and adapt working hours appropriately.
  • Proven ability to present complex financial information to various stakeholders in the organisation in a clear and easy to understand format.
  • At all times, demonstrate excellent commercial awareness, teamwork and flexibility.
  • Qualified Accountant CPA/ACA/ACCA.
