Future Publishing is the parent company behind two of the world's biggest tech sites in TechRadar and Tom's Guide. We exist to help their readers buy, enjoy and enhance the tech that they love. We're on the lookout for someone to join our team and help enhance our world-class VPN, digital privacy and security coverage across these brands.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief (VPN & HTW), you'll perform in-house lab testing of VPN products, creating new tools and tests to gather class-leading performance data, and ensuring the technical accuracy of all VPN-related content on TechRadar and Tom's Guide.

You'll lead product comparison sessions with the wider VPN team, act as quality control for VPN reviews, buying guides, and more technical articles and field technical questions from the VPN editorial team.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

  • Experience in a technical editorial or testing role
  • Demonstrable and deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and technologies
  • Strong technical computing knowledge
  • Comfortable with topics such as networking, encryption, data privacy, and online security threats
  • Experience testing VPN products and all their facets
  • Ability to develop new testing tools and handle complex data
