Homes Gardens is looking for a creatively minded Social Media Assistant to help shape its next chapter. It's a brilliant opportunity to learn, experiment and make your mark on a major media brand with serious authority and reach.

What you’ll be doing

  • Reporting to the Social Media Editor, you’ll create standout, best-in-class content that drives engagement, traffic and audience growth, while building real cultural relevance and brand fame.
  • You’ll curate content from the website and print for use on social channels; brief internal video teams and external parties e.g. designers and tastemakers; shoot and edit on iPhone.
  • You’ll take ownership of scheduling across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube and WhatsApp.
  • You’ll own community management; check and respond to messages and comments daily to engage our community, foster growth and encourage conversation.
  • You’ll proactively pitch fun formats, new ideas and ways to drive engagement, traffic and growth.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

  • A true passion for all things social media and a deep understanding of platform roles and formats.
  • Ability to shoot and edit on iPhone (CapCut, native tools etc).
  • A finger on the pulse when it comes to the latest trends, platforms and the cultural zeitgeist.
  • Experience with Canva, and Dash Social ideally.
