THE ROLE
As a Sales Manager you will lead a dedicated sales team, guiding them to success through mentorship and strategic planning and play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities include
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including employee relations, performance management, and training new team members.
- Set and achieve sales targets in line with business objectives, identifying opportunities through research and networking.
- Ensure sales executives deliver first-class service, understanding customer needs and providing accurate product information.
- Ensure adherence to finance and FCA regulations, and manage the handover process professionally.
- Maintain high standards in a showroom environment, ensuring products are display-ready and information is current.
- Create and deliver sales reports, manage sales administration, and oversee department performance.
- Regularly review team practices, identify improvements, and implement changes under the guidance of the Board.
- Maintain effective relationships across all levels, ensuring smooth operations and clear communication of updates and changes.
- THE CANDIDATE
The ideal Sales Manager will possess excellent customer service skills, with a keen understanding of customer needs and expectations and have the following skills:
- Proven experience in a sales management role, with a track record of achieving targets.
- Experience in the automotive industry is advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- In-depth knowledge of sales processes, compliance regulations, and market trends.
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, both internally and externally.
- Ability to work flexibly, including attending events outside of standard office hours.
Due to the nature of the business, this role will involve some weekend working.
