IT Sales Consultant

Newark, Full Time, Permanent

£30,000 – £34,000 DOE, OTE Circa £80,000 per annum

Our well-established client is looking for an IT Sales Consultant to join their growing team on a Full Time, Permanent basis. You will manage and grow existing client relationships by understanding customer’s IT requirements and communicating solutions in an understandable manner.

THE ROLE

As an IT Sales Consultant, your responsibilities will be the following:

  • Target and engage with all existing Print/VoIP customers within a geographical territory to secure IT support contract.
  • Provide proactive and consultative client support within the territory, ensuing high retention and revenue growth within an existing client base.
  • Prospecting new customers by marketing or other models of engagement to win new IT support contracts.
  • Travel to client sites/events/conferences within territory.
  • Provide clients and prospects with detailed proposals following consultation.
  • Be knowledgeable in IT to engage with IT professionals at customers or prospects, but also be able to engage with non-IT customers/prospects.
  • Present services to clients, peers, and management as it relates to performance and planning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and internal departments to achieve objectives and goals.
  • Meet and exceed agreed KPI metrics for schedule of visits, data recording, customer appointments and margin.

THE CANDIDATE

As an IT Sales Consultant, you will have previous experience within an IT sales background, as well as:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Microsoft Office 365, PC/Laptop hardware, broadband technologies, network topologies, cloud technologies, security software/hardware, supply to business/corporate IT.
  • Experience in finance and leasing is an advantage.
  • A strong capability for absorbing information.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • A proactive and flexible approach.
  • The ability to work using own initiative and without constant supervision.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Confident and assertive.
