Future Prospects Group are excited to help our client find a Clerk of Works/NEC Supervisor to join their Newark office. This long-established multi-disciplinary practice values building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service. They have a solid reputation for winning repeat work, and there's real potential for progression to a management level in the business for the right candidate.

As Clerk of Works your responsibilities will include:

  • Working on education, commercial, and residential projects
  • A mix of Clerk of Works and NEC4 Supervisor services depending on the project
  • Undertaking NEC4 Supervisor duties for projects under NEC contracts
  • Representing clients on site, updating on quality standards through weekly reports
  • Reviewing drawings, ensuring projects meet specifications, raising any discrepancies
  • Monitoring progress against the contract programme
  • Reporting on health and safety concerns and general site conditions
  • Identifying and following up on defects

The ideal Clerk of Works will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Member of ICWCI and/or NEC4 Supervisor Accreditation
  • Experience on education, commercial, and/or residential projects as Clerk of Works or NEC Supervisor
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret contract programmes
  • Knowledge of site health and safety procedures
  • Experience in technical building design and Building Regulations
  • Familiarity with both JCT and NEC suite of contracts
  • Strong communication skills, able to prepare site inspection reports
  • Capable of managing multiple projects
