Our Newark based client has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Engineer to join their growing team on a full time, permanent basis. The role will focus on identifying and converting new and existing opportunities with a strategic plan to expand into mainland Europe.
THE ROLE
- As a Sales Engineer, you’ll be responsible for generating enquiries, building relationships, quoting and closing sales, as well as:
- Developing and implementing a targeted sales strategy.
- Identifying and pursuing new market sectors and customer segments.
- Managing a pipeline of qualified leads, quotes and sales opportunities.
- Conducting client visits, delivering presentations, and performing product demonstrations.
- Collaborating with internal teams (fabrication, engineering, logistics) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Attending industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
- Providing market feedback to the Plant Director on trends and customer needs.
- Supporting marketing efforts with technical input and case studies.
- Ensuring all tasks on site are carried out safely and in accordance with company Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental policies, Integrated Management System and method statements.
THE CANDIDATES
- The ideal Sales Engineer will have experience in technical sales within construction, ground engineering or tooling, as well as:
- Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of piling equipment and site operations.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results driven.
- Able to travel across the UK and Europe as required.
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills.
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with European markets is a plus.
- Full UK driving licence.
