Sales Administrator Full Time, Permanent Competitive salary Future Prospects Group are delighted to be working with our client to recruit a dedicated Sales Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative sales office team, acting as a crucial brand ambassador while delivering high-quality commercial support, order processing, and customer service. THE ROLE Your responsibilities as a Sales Administrator will include: * Processing incoming customer sales orders accurately and delivering them into the business in the required format. * Acknowledging new customer orders promptly and maintaining live database records and tracking spreadsheets. * Creating virtual folders and cataloguing all essential sales enquiry details, drawings, costing sheets, and communications. * Answering incoming sales telephone calls, qualifying enquiries, and routing them to Business Development Managers or managing them internally. * Collaborating closely with regional Business Development Managers and colleagues across internal departments to fulfil customer requirements. * Producing basic and copy quotations for existing and prospective clients, with full training provided. * Proactively identifying potential business opportunities and gathering sector and competitor research. * Providing administrative support and holiday or absence cover across the sales office team during peak periods. THE CANDIDATE The ideal Sales Administrator will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience: * Proven experience within sales administration, commercial support, or customer service. * Prior experience working within a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment is highly desirable. * Confident communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with both internal teams and external customers. * Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail when recording data and updating live systems. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. * Familiarity with business software and ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, or Oracle is advantageous. * A proactive mindset with the initiative to problem solve and work effectively to deadlines.
