Future Prospects Group are proud to present an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join an established engineering company on a full time, permanent basis.
The Role
- Collaborate with a team to design and manufacture control panels.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the sales team during the quotation and project bidding process.
- Prepare technical datasheets to support tender submissions and customer proposals.
- Produce detailed General Arrangement (GA), schematic and label drawings.
- Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) using ERP system.
- Interpret and work from fabrication drawings (SolidWorks).
- Prepare test certificates and associated project documentation.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety standards, industry regulations, and company procedure.
- Participate in project and team meetings to review progress, resolve technical challenges, and support successful project delivery.
The Candidate
The successful Senior Electrical Design Engineer will have experience in the design of electrical control panels in addition to the following:
- Experience in electrical design involving both single-phase and three-phase voltage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Understanding of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design principles (desirable).
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, including RS485, RJ45, serial communications, and related interfaces (desirable).
- Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (desirable).
