Our Grantham based Client is looking to appoint a Production Supervisor on a full time, permanent basis. The Production Supervisor will be based within the Operations team and will be responsible for organising workflow and ensuring the hands on management of a busy workshop. This role offers an excellent opportunity for developing a career in a progressive, global company.

The Role

  • Leading the manufacture of a range of products from technical drawings and schematics.
  • Leading a small team.
  • Hands on duties such as include welding, cutting, drilling, assembly work, cable crimping and some wiring.
  • Operating and training other users in the use of production equipment.
  • Operating lifting equipment.
  • Collecting and delivering materials if required, forklift license would be desirable.
  • Occasional property maintenance may be required.
  • Ensuring all work processes are completed to a high standard including keeping the workshop clean to avoid hazards & maintaining the company’s health & safety and quality guidelines.

The Candidate

  • Previous similar experience as a Production Supervisor.
  • Proven experience in MIG welding desirable.
  • Sling and lifting experience desirable.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Experience using grinders, cutting equipment and general fabrication tools.
  • Strong practical and mechanical skills.
  • Knowledge of safety rules and precautionary measures (PPE provided).
  • Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
