Float Legal Secretary Alconbury, Full time, Permanent £30,000 Our Midlands based client is looking for a proficient Float Legal Secretary to work within their Business Support Team. THE BENEFITS The extensive benefits package for this role include: * 24 days holiday + BH, with the opportunity to buy and sell additional days * Free parking * Discounted legal fees * Green car salary sacrifice scheme * Pension * Private Health Insurance * Continuous career development opportunities * Death in service benefit * Wellbeing programme * Flexible working THE ROLE The successful Float Legal Secretary will be flexible as a member of the wider support team and assist with work as required, co-operating with peers and others, ensuring a co-operative team environment, responsibilities include: * Provide comprehensive typing, secretarial, and administrative support to the team and wider firm. * Assist with digital dictation and administrative tasks. * Transcribe and prepare correspondence and documents using audiotyping and word processing. * Operate the case management system, storing documents electronically and organising them appropriately. * Manage administrative routines including scanning, faxing, printing, binding, and photocopying. * Efficiently manage client/matter files, including filing, file opening, client care letters, and archiving. * Handle incoming and outgoing mail, appointments, and diary management. * Monitor compliance and Lexcel requirements, conduct company checks, and individual AML checks. * Provide professional and friendly support to clients in person and over the telephone. * Assist the Operations team with various tasks. * Collaborate with the Business Support and Operations Team on routine and ad hoc projects. * Maintain confidentiality of all company and client information. THE CANDIDATE The ideal Float Legal Secretary will be a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, skills and experience required: * Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Typing speed of at least 65 wpm with 90% accuracy. * Excellent attention to detail, including spelling and punctuation. * Effective communication skills at all levels, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. * A problem-solving mindset with a “can-do” attitude. * Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
