We are recruiting for Manufacturing Production Line Manager
Location: Mansfield NG19 7JX
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, 44 hours per week
Salary: £30,000
Working hours: Monday-Friday, no weekend working. Monday-Thursday 7-4:30pm, Friday 7-3:30pm
About the role:
We are looking for a driven, reliable and adaptable individual who can work flexibly. You will lead a designated area or production line, helping to ensure it operates efficiently, effectively and safely while meeting the needs of the business.
A typical day as a Production Team Leader may involve overseeing machining, glazing, paint preparation, painting, pressing, final processing and quality checks, followed by wrapping and packing.
Essential skills and experience
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Developing and implementing production policies and procedures.
- Delegating manufacturing tasks to ensure the team meets production deadlines.
- Lead and support manufacturing employees on the production floor.
- Communicate clear expectations and appraise team performance.
- Promote and reinforce best practice in occupational health and safety
- Set priorities to help the manufacturing team work efficiently
- Resolve production issues as they arise
- Report team performance to the Production Manager
- Recommend improvements to employee efficiency and cost control
- Manage performance and conduct matters fairly and in line with company policies
- Implement agreed manufacturing cost-reduction strategies
- Encourage co-operation and effective communication within the production team and across other departments
- Previous experience in the window and door industry is desirable, although not essential
