Working in the contract manufacturing sector, a multiskilled opportunity has arisen covering all aspects of Quality Engineering, Health and Safety Management and Manufacturing Engineering. The QHSE Manager role will include,
- Overseeing the company's quality management systems in line with ISO 9001
- Monitoring, reporting on and driving improvement of the company's performance against agreed quality KPI's
- Handling customer and supplier quality issues
- Reviewing, developing and introducing standard operating procedures
- Overseeing training activities, attending meetings and making recommendations geared towards continual improvement
Health & Safety
- Review work areas, machines and processes to identify potential hazards and risks
- Develop and implement risk assessments to evaluate and control those risks ensuing that all areas have suitable risk assessments for their operations and activities
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring these are up to date, compliant and communicated effectively to employees
- Provide health and safety training to employees, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and how to work safely
- Promote a positive safety culture within the organization
Manufacturing
- Review the company's manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure they are running as efficiently as possible, introducing process change where possible to increase efficiency and reduce running costs
- Develop new systems and processes, introduce new equipment, training staff as required
- Support new product development and introduction
The successful QHSE Manager will be an enthusiastic person with the ability to communicate with people at all levels both verbally and in writing. A positive outlook and ability to work as part of a team is essential as well as a thorough understanding of the principles and concepts of quality management, risk management and process control, as is the ability to prioritise., Experience in a similar role as a quality engineer or health and safety manager.

- Good communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong IT skills, ability to write reports, analyse and present data.
