Your responsibilities as an Assistant Engineer will include:

  • Travelling nationwide alongside experienced service engineers to maintain and service customers systems.
  • Assisting with routine servicing, remedial works, and repairs across components including filters, UV disinfection units, control panels, pumps, and valves.
  • Developing hands-on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering skills on a daily basis through practical on-the-job training.
  • Carrying out technical safety checks.
  • Adhering to strict site health and safety standards.
  • Completing mandatory documentation accurately, including site safety checklists, confined space entry forms, and activity logs on the company CRM.
  • Supporting head office operations by assisting with vehicle checks, workshop inventory, and equipment preparation between site visits.

  • A genuine interest in or foundational knowledge of electrical systems, pumps, plumbing, or mechanical controls.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and a practical, hardworking approach to physical tasks.
  • Good computer literacy with confidence using standard Microsoft Office applications.
  • An eagerness to learn and undertake fully funded qualifications, including CSCS, Working at Height, and Confined Space Entry.Future Prospects Group are delighted to be working with our client, an industry-leading water reuse and environmental engineering specialist, to recruit an Assistant Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis.The benefits included with the Assistant Engineer role are:
