We work remotely at locations across the UK, and generate content for audiences all around the world.

We inspire, educate and inform our audience on everything from house design ideas, innovative products to the best ways to manage builders and designers. Our team works hard and expects our content to lead the way in depth and scope.

What you'll be doing:

  • Reporting to the Brand Editor, you will be tasked with creating high-quality content for homebuilding.co.uk, ensuring it ranks as highly as possible for target critical terms.
  • The evergreen and Discover content you will create forms a significant part of our overall audience strategy.
  • You will write SEO-driven content that ticks off EEAT signals, using your own knowledge and input from industry experts.
  • We expect you to turn around content quickly and accurately, with the goal of publishing it yourself.
  • You will contribute ideas to team planning sessions and maximise the reach of your articles through social posts and newsletter inclusions.
  • Ecommerce will be at the top of your agenda, and you'll think of ways to monetise your content.
  • You'll also run the social media channels for Homebuilding and Plotfinder.
  • We may also ask you to represent the brand at the Homebuilding & Renovating Shows we host.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve:

  • Experience of creating content for websites and be able to point to the experience, learning and skills you'll be bringing into the role.
  • First-rate SEO expertise and a keen interest in and understanding of analytical tools, which you'll use to form your content crafting.
  • Expertise in identifying keywords and writing content to hit them.
  • A keen interest in and understanding of the homes media space and, ideally, in self build and renovation.
  • Writing skills - the ability to write snappy headlines to tight grammar control, through to the ability to choose just the right image to draw people in.
  • The team works remotely and so you'll need to be able to work independently and be willing to attend meetings at Future plc offices, as required.
  • You'll have experience with the data side of web editing and closely monitor and interpret performance and trends.
