About Future Horizons Leeds

We provide holistic, person‑centred care for young adults aged 19‑25 with complex learning and/or physical difficulties. We prioritise the well‑being and personal progress of every young person through a curriculum that prioritises communication, life skills, integrated physical therapies, work‑related learning and structured leisure and wellbeing time. We have a high staff‑to‑student ratio which allows an excellent understanding and sharing of our young people’s academic, social and emotional needs and enables effective differentiation and personalised learning. Relationships between young people and staff are excellent and this plays an integral role in creating a calm and happy environment that facilitates and supports learning. At Future Horizons Leeds we put the safeguarding and wellbeing of our young people at the centre of everything we do. We have a robust safeguarding team and processes in line with national statutory guidance. It is a fantastic time to join Future Horizons Leeds. We have recently had a very positive Ofsted inspection and are strengthening our offer year by year. We are proud to have been chosen by Leeds City Council to provide specialist education and specialist adult social care places for young people with complex learning and/or physical difficulties.

Qualifications & Backgrounds We Value

  • Qualified teacher
  • Qualified Tutor (Level 5 or above)
  • FE tutor (particularly related to SEND)
  • Teaching qualification in lifelong learning
  • Level 3+ Teaching assistant qualification
