We are currently evolving our Business Intelligence (BI) capability through a strategic partnering approach, designed to deeply integrate data expertise within our B2C, B2B, Go.Compare, and Finance divisions.
As the Head of BI, reporting to the Director of Data & BI, you will be a senior leader within the Data & BI Leadership Team. You will own the end-to-end BI capability, acting as a trusted senior partner to the Director by translating strategic intent into a clear, executable roadmap. Leading a high-performing team of 20, you will provide the vision and professional leadership required to sustain a consultative BI function focused on impact and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the BI roadmap and collaborate across the full Data & BI delivery portfolio.
- Provide regular, structured updates on progress, risks, and dependencies to the Director of Data & BI and other senior stakeholders, ensuring clarity of focus and resource optimisation across all projects.
- Lead the people strategy for the BI function, overseeing development, succession planning, and professional support.
- Ensure your managers are equipped and supported to lead their own teams with consistency, acting as a "leader of leaders".
- Translate high-level business strategy into a prioritised BI roadmap.
- Work with the ELT and SLT to ensure the team's efforts are focused on high-value projects, balancing tactical needs with enterprise-wide scalability.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
- A background in BI/Analytics leadership, within Digital Media, AdTech, or eCommerce.
- Understanding of the core concepts of audience data and digital engagement.
- Experience leading teams of managers.
- Ability to encourage a culture focused on impact, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable operating with high levels of accountability, overseeing outcomes end-to-end, and being a trusted senior partner to the Director of Data & BI.
- Guide senior stakeholders toward the most impactful solutions while caring for Future's overall strategy.
- A communicator who values alternative perspectives while driving toward the best outcome for the business.
- Structured approach to managing complex delivery portfolios, identifying risks early and managing dependencies through clear communication.
- Technical proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, Dataform, Looker, and Looker Studio (or equivalent tools) required to guide technical strategy and ensure platform excellence.
