Homes & Gardens, established in 1919, is the world's longest-running interiors magazine and is also the fastest-growing magazine in the UK. We're seeking an experienced and highly organized Editor to lead the editorial production of the magazine during a maternity cover period.

What you'll be doing

  • Reporting to the Global Brand Director, you'll shape and deliver one of the UK's most respected interiors and lifestyle magazines.
  • You'll oversee the planning, commissioning, production and execution of every issue, ensuring the magazine maintains its authority, creativity and commercial relevance while delivering exceptional editorial standards.
  • You'll lead the day-to-day operation of the magazine, drive content strategy, manage key relationships across the interiors industry and play a central role in major brand initiatives, events and special projects.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

  • Significant editorial experience within magazines, media brands or luxury lifestyle publishing.
  • Commissioning, editing and content development skills.
  • Proven experience managing contributors and editorial teams.
  • Organisational and project management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of print production processes.
  • A passion for interiors, decoration, design and lifestyle content.
  • Commercial awareness and experience working across multiple stakeholders.
  • Confidence representing a brand externally and building industry relationships.
