What you'll be doing
You will be a key part of the team, reporting into the Group Commercial Finance Director. Active involvement in the development of the technology strategy, which has grown to include Artificial Intelligence and Business Intelligence, is paramount. We are looking for someone who will actively challenge ELT and SLT in approach and governance of a long term sustainable model for technology at Future. This includes a global people strategy and supporting on key initiatives around AI education and BI support. Oversight and support on IT contracts to drive efficiencies and savings is also critical as the business scales. Within wider central services (People & Culture, Facilities, Finance & Governance), the role will proactively engage with leadership, identifying and supporting management on initiatives to drive efficiencies. This role is responsible for the financial stewardship and financial management of Central cost areas. You will have a detailed understanding of the areas of the business, creating and maintaining a robust control environment, planning and forecasting.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
- Qualified Accountant CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
- Evidence of developing insights to drive strategic decision-making at an executive level.
- Experience working with Technology and IT contracts.
- Familiar with collaboration across Finance, business leaders and operational teams, including the ability to quickly absorb and apply new information.
- Experience reviewing contracts and identifying key operational and financial terms.
- Able to strike the right balance between challenge and support across the organisation at all levels.
- Experience presenting complex financial information to multiple stakeholders in the organisation in a clear and easy to understand format.
- Knowledge of financial systems, financial reporting, internal controls.
- G Suite or MS Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
