About the Service
The Mental Health Enablement Service supports adults with severe and enduring mental health needs to achieve greater independence, improve wellbeing and live fulfilling lives within their communities.
Working alongside health colleagues, housing providers and voluntary sector partners, we deliver recovery-focused interventions that help people build confidence, reduce reliance on services and achieve positive long-term outcomes.
We are entering an exciting new chapter as we prepare to move into our newly refurbished base at Park Avenue, Enfield, and continue to develop a high-performing, evidence-based service.
About the Role
As a Senior Social Worker, you will work closely with the Service Manager to provide professional leadership across the service.
You will
- Lead on complex mental health cases.
- Provide professional supervision, guidance and support to colleagues.
- Champion strengths-based, person-centred practice.
- Support quality assurance, service development and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with health, housing and community partners.
- Help embed high-quality recording, performance and outcome-focused practice.
- Deputise for the Service Manager when required.
- Support practice education, safeguarding and Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) development where appropriate.
About You
You will be a registered Social Worker with Social Work England and have substantial post-qualification experience within Adult Social Care and/or Mental Health Services.
You will have
- Excellent knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding legislation.
- Experience of leading or supervising staff.
- Strong assessment, analytical and risk management skills.
- Excellent partnership working and communication skills.
- A commitment to recovery-focused and strengths-based practice.
- Experience managing complex cases within multidisciplinary settings.
- A passion for improving services and developing others.
