Salary: £42,683 + 30% unsociable moving to £47,967 + 30% unsociable, subject to achieving full competency (pensionable).

Contract type: Rail for London Infrastructure (The Elizabeth Line)

Location: Based at Plumstead Depot and along the whole Elizabeth Line Central Operating Section (COS) is required.

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Maintenance Delivery Technician (SMDT) – MEP Electrical to join the Elizabeth line ensuring the successful delivery and operation of London's newest railway. Primarily the Senior Maintenance Delivery Technician shall assume a faulting & maintenance role, provide team leadership and manage safety. You will be expected to work to a shift pattern which shall include unsociable hours and weekend working.

The Senior Maintenance Delivery Technician is responsible for the delivery of safety of line inspections, asset monitoring, maintenance, like-for-like renewal and improvements works. This will include asset fault response, infrastructure inspection, asset data management and the safe delivery of reliability centred maintenance tasks. You will be provided a high standard of training tailored to gaining the competencies related to your role.

Key Accountabilities:

• Leading the delivery of maintenance tasks as defined by the RFLi Engineering team, complying with defined RFLi standards, processes, procedures, and performance to be delivered.
• Part of the fault rectification team and handing back the railway to safe operation following maintenance and works completion.
• Deliver maintenance deployment planning with operations colleagues, ensuring that the operational requirements align with the maintenance engineering asset management requirements and deliver a compliant, safe, operable, and maintainable railway.
• To ensure that Rail for London Infrastructure (RFLi) fully address the specification, planning, execution and quality of the maintenance engineering and safety management requirements.

Qualifications:

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electro Technical Services (Electrical Maintenance) or equivalent.
• Or JIB Graded Approved Electrician in installation and/or Maintenance.
• LVAP qualification and experience.
• Undertake Installation, Maintenance, Modification and repair of User Control and Network Devices Subsystem (DALI).
• Level 3 Award in Electrical Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018.
• Level 3 Certificate for the Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive company vehicles.
• Substantial knowledge of railway safety-related standards regime and processes.
