Overview of the Role

This is a delivery‑focused Commercial Manager role within Transport for London’s Procurement & Commercial (P&C) Infrastructure team, supporting major infrastructure and capital programmes. You will take ownership of commercial activity across defined workstreams, managing procurement, contracts and suppliers end‑to‑end across high‑value, complex infrastructure projects. This is not a support or advisory role; you will be expected to lead delivery, manage commercial risk and drive value‑for‑money outcomes across large‑scale programmes.

You will operate in a structured, regulated environment, working closely with programme teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders to ensure commercial activity supports the successful delivery of infrastructure projects across TfL’s network. This role is best suited to candidates who have hands‑on ownership of infrastructure procurement or contract delivery, have worked on complex, high‑value capital or engineering programmes, and can demonstrate real commercial impact and delivery in a project environment. It is not suited to candidates with purely administrative or junior procurement experience, those from non‑infrastructure backgrounds, or individuals whose experience is advisory‑only without direct responsibility for delivery.

Joining this role offers the opportunity to work on major infrastructure programmes critical to London’s transport network, take ownership of high‑value commercial delivery, and operate in a complex, high‑impact, project‑driven environment. You will be part of a mature, high‑performing commercial function within TfL, with strong visibility and accountability across the organisation.
