The role plays a pivotal part in the transformation of TfL’s delivery model, driving organisational change and scaling teams to meet future capital demands. You will establish and maintain trusted relationships across the full value chain, including the Board, Executive Committee, senior functional leaders and operational teams.

As the Director of Capital you will act as a credible external ambassador for TfL, you will engage confidently with commercial partners, suppliers and key stakeholders. This is a high-profile leadership position operating within a complex political, operational and public environment, requiring sound judgement, resilience and a relentless focus on effective delivery.

About You

  • Proven experience delivering major capital projects and/or programmes, ideally valued at circa £1bn (or £0.5bn where programme complexity is particularly high).
  • Experience within the rail sector or complex transport infrastructure environment is strongly preferred.
