Are you a social worker with over 4 years qualified experience who is passionate about children and young people? If so, Enfield Children’s MASH (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub) is the place for you. We are always seeking to build on our good social worker practice to achieve an outstanding service for our children and young people to keep them safe and help them achieve positive outcomes.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced qualified Social Worker to screen/triage new referrals, gather and analyse high quality information (including partner agency information and views of children and their families) and make key decisions about thresholds for intervention and support and actioning such decisions for children to be protected from harm at the earliest opportunity. You will also be required to support, coach and mentor social workers and non-social work practitioners and drive service improvement through the direct development of others and dissemination of experience, good practice and research. This is an important function within your role and you will not be expected to carry a caseload.

As a qualified and professionally registered Social Worker with Social Work England, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be clear how to support and challenge agencies and colleagues to ensure children and young people receive the right service within the right framework. You will be bringing experience, skills and a commitment to our relational practice.

Qualifications

  • Qualified and professionally registered Social Worker with Social Work England
  • Minimum 4 years working with vulnerable children and families, preferably in a statutory setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A thorough understanding of current legislation and the London Safeguarding Children Procedure and Practice Guidance, and commitment to relational practice
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Ability to analyse information and understand families’ experiences and contexts to ensure they receive the right services
  • Curious and committed to supporting children and young people in Enfield in practice and in your recording
